I hear a whisper.
It’s very quiet. But, it has never left me.
Even though I chose time and again to turn my face from it. Even though I did not chose to believe this whisper was for me.
I only chose to be strong. But, I no longer want that to be my name. I want to live by a new name: Beloved.
I am listening to God’s whispers –
Don’t despise small beginnings.
You are mine.
Begin new.
Be the beloved. My beloved.
What if you and I actually chose to listen to these whispers?

What if we choose small moments? What if we chose to begin?
I am choosing to prioritize beauty, quiet and joy. As is.
I’m no longer waiting to be more perfect, ready or acceptable in the eyes of my critical self or to others.
I choose to be the beloved. I choose spiritual whitespace. I choose rest.
Kindreds, let’s choose to be the beloved. Let’s choose to start new.
